Media Exposure FAQ

There were more than 200 registered members of the press at KBIS last year, and we look forward to welcoming even more press at KBIS 2013. Having a presence at KBIS 2013 provides an incredible opportunity for your company to present its brand and products directly to the media by offering press materials via the KBIS Digital Pressroom and on-site Media Lounge.

Do I have to be an NKBA member to offer press materials?

No, as long as you're an exhibitor at KBIS 2013, regardless of the size of your booth, you're welcome to offer press materials in the Media Lounge at KBIS and on our digital pressroom.

What should our company include in its press materials?
By sending your press releases, product announcements, specification sheets, photos, company fact sheets, and contact information to kbispr@whitegood.com, you can greatly increase the likelihood that your company and products will be featured in consumer and trade media platforms and featured on the Digital Pressroom.

Should we use paper or digital press kits?
We encourage all exhibitors to provide their press materials digitally. This not only reduces paper use and cuts your production costs, but in the KBIS press survey, more than 80 percent of media members reported that they prefer digital press kits over paper kits because digital kits are less cumbersome to carry and allow them to write about new products more quickly.

How many press kits should we send?
The number of media kits that your company should provide in the Media Lounge can vary from 50 to 300, depending on the size of your product's target market, the level of your company's brand recognition, and whether you provide the press kit on a disc (CD or DVD) or a USB drive. The broader the audience for your products, the more recognizable your company, and the use of a USB drive will all increase the number of media members who will review your press kit.

How do we get our press kits to KBIS?
We recommend you submit your press materials to kbispr@whitegood.com for posting to the digital pressroom. If you would like to ship digital press kits to the show for placement in the Media Lounge, we recommend you ship directly to the on-site Media Lounge at KBIS 2013.
