The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show is at the Orange County Convention Center, 9800 International Drive, Orlando, FL 32819. The Expo Floor is open on January 10-12 in Halls WA1-4 in the West Building and in Halls SB-NB in the North/South Building. The Voices from the Industry Conference Program is on January 10-12 in the meeting rooms on Levels 2 and 3 of the South Building.

Attendees can register online beginning on August 1.

Registration for KBIS 2017 is non-refundable. This includes Expo Only passes, Conference passes and Special Events. However, registrants unable to attend may send a substitute by bringing the registrant’s confirmation letter to the onsite Registration counters at the Orange County Convention Center to receive a badge for admission.

Can I register on-site?

Yes, please visit the Registration counters marked “Not Registered? Sign Up Here” on Level 1 in the West Building, in room S220 in the South Building at the Orange County Convention Center during registration hours.

Badges will be mailed to the main contact for all personnel registered by FridayDecember 2, 2016. Lanyards can be picked up on-site at the Lanyard Pickup counters in all on-site Registration locations.

If you register after Friday, December 2, 2016, you will need to pick up your badge and lanyard onsite at the Registration counters marked “Registered? Print Badge Here” on Level 1 in the West Building, in room S220 in the South Building at the Orange County Convention Center during registration hours.

If you need to register onsite or need to make changes to your registration, you can do this onsite at the Registration counters on Level 1 in the West Building, in room S220 in the South Building at the Orange County Convention Center during registration hours.

*Please note, we will not be mailing international badges.

Your KBIS 2017 badge also gets you access to the International Builders’ Show show floor. It does not grant you access to conference sessions, special events or any function outside of the show floor for these shows as they would require separate registration and may be at an additional cost.

The Kitchen & Bath Industry Show is open to industry professionals only.

Yes, however children under 18 must be accompanied and supervised by an adult at all times when in the exhibit areas. Registration for children is complimentary and must be done on-site. All children except infants in backpacks or slings must be registered and badged to be admitted to the exhibit areas. STROLLERS ARE NOT ALLOWED IN THE EXHIBIT AREAS.

Show Management is respectful of the time and resources utilized by each exhibitor and speaker in the research and development of new and exciting products for the kitchen and bath marketplace. In an effort to protect our exhibitors and speakers, unauthorized photography or video recording is not allowed on the Expo Floor or in Conference Session rooms at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show without first obtaining permission from the exhibitor or speaker. Violators will be ejected from the show and could be denied entry to future KBIS events and/or be prosecuted.

During the registration process, if a country outside of the United States is selected, you will have the option of requesting an invitation letter to be emailed to you.

Hotel reservations can be made online starting August 1 through the Hotel & Travel section of the KBIS website. onPeak is the official housing agent for the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show.

Complimentary shuttle bus service will be provided to and from the Orange County Convention Center and some official show hotels* that are not within walking distance. Shuttles will stop at both the West and South Buildings. Signs will be posted at the official show hotels and the Orange County Convention Center indicating the schedules, pick-up and drop-off points.

*The following hotels in the KBIS 2017 official hotel block are NOT included on the hotel shuttle routes:

The Orange County Convention Center offers a variety of dining locations both inside the exhibit hall and in the the concourses of the West and South Buildings.

Whether traveling for business or pleasure, as the preferred mobility service partner of the Orange County Convention Center, Scootaround provides a simple, convenient electric scooter, wheelchair and oxygen rental service on-site.

Your mobility device can be reserved in advance and will be waiting for you during your event at one of the Convention Center’s Business Centers or it can be delivered to your hotel in Orlando. All Exhibitors have a Target Freight Move-In Date. This is the day that your freight must arrive if you are shipping direct to the Orange County Convention Center or delivering your freight personally. To determine your scheduled targeted freight move-in day, refer to the color-coded Target Freight Move-In Floor Plan for Halls WA1-4 or Halls SB-NB based on your booth location.

After your freight arrives during your scheduled targeted freight move-in day, the move-in schedule is as follows:

* Due to the constraints of move-in this year, show management and Freeman are unable to accommodate any targeted freight move-in day change requests.

** To ensure the show floor is ready for opening on the morning of Tuesday, January 10, 2017 a Clean Floor Policy is being instituted this year. All crates and skids must be tagged for removal from the exhibit floor no later than 2:00pm on Monday, January 9, 2017. . If crates and skids are not labeled for removal by this time, Show Management and Freeman personnel will label them for removal.

All displays are to be completely installed by 5:00PM on Monday, January 9. Show Management will consider any booth not set by 5:00PM vacant and appropriate action will be taken. Detailing and last minute adjustments may be made on Tuesday, January 10 from 7:00AM – 9:00AM.

For those exhibitors needing extra time for set-up, we will accommodate exhibitors staying to work late on their booth in the exhibit hall. Exhibitors and EAC’s with badges and/or wristbands will be allowed 24 access during move-in and move-out and may leave and re-enter the exhibit hall after hours as needed. Exhibitors staying after hours to work on their booth are required to stay in their booth and not wander the floor. Late access on show days will not be allowed except for in-booth functions that have been approved by show management in advance of the show.

All crates and skids must be tagged and removed from the exhibit floor no later than 2:00 pm on Monday, January 9, 2017. This will allow Freeman sufficient time to complete the laying of the aisle carpet and the overall cleaning of the exhibit hall as well as provide exhibitors the space to complete their booth set up by keeping aisles clear.

There will be no exceptions to this policy. Crates without empty or access storage stickers will be tagged by the area floor managers or Freeman and removed from the exhibit hall – whether full or empty. Exhibitors may request product to be returned to their booth at the exhibitor’s expense. Depending on where the crates are located, it may not be possible to access the crates prior to move-out.

Exhibitors may begin dismantling their displays immediately after the show closes at 5:00PM on Thursday, January 12, 2017.

All Exhibitors have a Targeted Freight Move-Out Date & Time. This is the day and time that your freight must be clear of the hall. To determine your targeted freight move-in day, refer to the color-coded Target Freight Move-Out Floor Plan for Halls WA1-4 or Halls SB-NB based on your booth location.

After determining your scheduled targeted freight move-out day and time, the move-out schedule is as follows:

Halls WA1-4 and Halls SB-NB
Thursday, January 12, 2017: 5:00pm – 10:00pm
Friday, January 13, 2017: 8:00am – 5:00pm
Saturday, January 14, 2017: 8:00am – 12:00pm

Exhibitor and EAC’s with badges and/or wristbands will be allowed to stay past the end of the scheduled move-out but all services may not be available outside of the scheduled move-out hours.

Exhibitors and EAC’s with badges and/or wristbands will be allowed 24 access during move-out and may leave and re-enter the exhibit hall after hours as needed.

The return of empty containers will begin immediately after the aisle carpet and vehicles are removed from the exhibit hall. To expedite the return of empty containers, all aisles are to be kept entirely clear of exhibit material so that all aisle carpet may be removed. Barring any unforeseen circumstances, empty containers will be delivered no later than the time noted for the section your booth is in on the color-coded Target Freight Move-Out Floor Plan for Halls WA1-4 or Halls SB-NB.

In agreement with the Exposition Terms and Conditions, exhibitors may not dismantle or remove any portion of their exhibit prior to the 5:00PM closing time on Thursday, January 12, 2017. This rule will be strictly enforced and failure to follow this rule may result in monetary penalties or loss of priority points.

In order to assure all exhibitors of an expedient move-out, complete cooperation is required between exhibitors and Freeman. All vehicular movement at the Orange County Convention Center loading docks must be coordinated and approved by Freeman in advance.

The shipping location depends on the timeframe in which you ship your materials. Please be sure to use the correct color shipping label based on your booth location. Printable shipping labels can be found in the KBIS 2017 Exhibitor Service Manual.

The most convenient method is to ship them is in advance to the Freeman Warehouse. You will receive confirmation of receipt and the materials will be waiting in your booth for you when you arrive onsite on your targeted freight move-in day. The Freeman Warehouse will begin to receive freight on Tuesday, December 6, 2016 through Thursday, December 29, 2016. The advance shipment address is:

What is the Marshaling Yard and why do I have to go there?

The address to the marshaling yard is: 10088 General Dr., Orlando, FL 32824.

All delivering carriers must check in at the marshaling yard prior to delivering to the facility.

Drivers must check in no later than 2:30 p.m. on the target move-in date to be off-loaded.

Please be advised that certified weight tickets are required when checking into the marshaling yard. For your convenience, Freeman has available a full-size certified scale at the marshaling yard. If your driver has valid certified weight tickets, Freeman will accept these tickets and your driver will not have to scale at the Freeman marshaling yard.

All carriers will be assigned an unloading number according to driver check-in time.

No, only materials that can be hand carried by one individual in one trip may be brought into the exhibit hall by an exhibitor. Multiple trips by one person is not allowed. If you have questions, please contact Freeman Customer Service at 407-816-7900 or FreemanOrlandoES@freemanco.com.

You are allowed to set-up and dismantle your own booth provided the staff utilized is full-time company personnel of the exhibiting company.

If you are using an Exhibitor Appointed Contractor (EAC), the online EAC Notification Form  and the EAC’s Certificate of Insurance must be submitted prior to move-in. Certificates of Insurance should be submitted using the online Insurance Submission Form.

Linear, Corner and Perimeter booths

  • 8’ high pipe and drape back wall.
  • 3’ high pipe and drape side rails.
  • 7” x 44” booth identification sign with company name and booth number.

Peninsula and End-Cap booths

  • 8’ high pipe and drape back wall.
  • 7” x 44” booth identification sign with company name and booth number.

 Split Island booths

  • 8’ high pipe and drape back wall.
  • 7” x 44” booth identification sign with company name and booth number.

Island booths do not come with back drape. If it is desired, it may be ordered from Freeman.

All other equipment and services are the responsibility of the exhibitor. Online ordering (where available) and printable order forms are located in this manual.

* This is a No Concrete Show – all booths must order or supply their own carpet or flooring.

Only exhibitors in island, split island, and peninsula booths that are 400 square feet or larger may have a hanging sign over their booth. The Orange County Convention Center Rigging Department will hang all signs inside the exhibit hall. For more information on the regulations pertaining to hanging signs, please refer to the Hanging Sign & Graphics Guidelines in the KBIS 2017 Exhibitor Service Manual .

Exhibitors should first reference the booth guidelines for your type of booth and the Hanging Sign & Graphics Guidelines (if you qualify and will have a hanging sign) in the KBIS 2017 Exhibitor Service Manual.

What insurance coverage do I need and who should be listed as additional insured?

KBIS Show Management requires each exhibiting company and Exhibitor Appointed Contractor (EAC) to carry general liability insurance, automotive liability (if applicable) and workmen’s compensation coverage.

Additional insured should be listed as follows: Emerald Expositions, KBIS 2017, the National Kitchen and Bath Association, Freeman, and the Orange County Convention Center.

If you don’t have insurance that meets the requirements, insurance can be procured from the Marsh TotalEvent Exhibitor Insurance Program or your insurance provider.

Exhibitors will not be able to set-up until we have received your certificate of insurance using the above submission link.

A Show Directory listing is the contact information and product categories that will be published both on the KBIS website and in the printed Show Directory. It’s a key tool in telling the attendees about your company before, during and after the show. The final deadline for entering your information to be included in the printed Show Directory is Friday, November 11, 2016.

In order to be listed in the Show Directory, go to KBIS Connect and log into your profile. Upon contracting for exhibit space, you will receive a Welcome E-mail with information about the system and log-in information. Upgrades are available to make your online listing stand out from the competition.

Our goal at the Kitchen & Bath Industry Show is to find the best ways to put you in touch with your audience and to help you make sales. That’s why we’ve developed several sponsorship and promotional opportunities that will enhance your presence at the show. Each exhibitor distributing food and/or beverage samples from their booth must submit a Sampling Approval & Liability Waiver form to Centerplate.

• Centerplate is the exclusive food & beverage provider of the Orange County Convention Center.
• If the exhibiting company is not the manufacturer or distributor of the items being sampled, or if the product is not show related, advance approval is required, and waiver fees will apply.
• Centerplate sampling portion guidelines of 3 ounces of food, 4 ounces of beverage must be followed.
• Fees will be assessed if Centerplate receives, stores or transports undersigned’s product, or if the labor of any Centerplate employee is required.

Cooking, open flame and gas appliances require Fire Marshal approval in advance. Introduction of a hazard deemed unsafe or out of the ordinary (i.e. grease-laden vapors, flammable liquids or gases), by the Orange County Fire Rescue Department may require a firewatch.

Each exhibitor cooking or using a heat producing device within their booth must first complete and submit the OCCC Natural/LP Gas, Cooking, Open Flame, Heat Producing Device Agreement Form. This form can be found under the Official Service Provider Order Forms section of in the KBIS 2017 Exhibitor Service Manual .

Please consult your exhibitor kit for all OCCC and Orange County Fire Rescue’s terms and conditions.
