Chelsie Butler talks Innovation

Dec 3, 2015

As we gear up for the 2016 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show (KBIS), the Innovative Showroom Awards are back again! The Innovative Showroom Awards celebrate existing showrooms in the kitchen and bath space that are engaging, create an extraordinary experience, and educate their customers. Judging will be based on innovative, unique and interactive showroom design. Advisory board member, Chelsie Butler, Executive Editor of Kitchen + Bath Business Magazine, will take part in judging.

To set your showroom apart from others can be quite a challenge. Chelsie spoke to how to achieve that goal by suggesting hosting classes and industry events.

“Hosting classes and industry events is a great way to draw in potential customers who may not otherwise have come in. Functional displays are also helpful so customers can actually see and feel how something works,” said Butler.

There are different means of incorporating interactive and engaging design, Butler says. “Make the most of the space you have by incorporating some technology elements – things that can show customers’ previous work, what their kitchen/bath could look like and spaces where showroom personnel and clients/designers can work together.”

The top 18 finalists will be invited to attend an Academy Award style ceremony in South Hall on the KBISNeXT Stage. Each finalist will be individually recognized and winners will then be announced. The ceremony will be held on the first day of the show, January 19th, from 3:45PM to 4:15PM.
