Showroom Design with Interior Systems, Inc.

Dec 9, 2015

Yesterday we announced the finalists for the Innovative Showroom Awards. Among the group tasked with determining the best of the best, are advisory board members from Interior Systems, Inc., Tony Lutz, President and CEO, and Mia Nicolaisen, Senior Director of Sales. They weigh in on how the finalists met the requirements of the awards.

“A showroom should allow for the consumer to “play” and express their individuality in the final design. That could be done with interactive technology, or modular display pieces. There are so many techniques available to incorporate the consumer into the design process,” said Lutz.

For a showroom to possess these qualities, it doesn’t mean they have to break the bank to do so. “Looking for ways to simplify your showroom can offset redesign costs. Many times we find showrooms with too much product, and not enough areas for designing and working with their customers,” explained Nicolaisen. “Also, look for solutions that are flexible, interchangeable, and allow for movement. While it may not save you money in the short term, the ability to change about fixtures, large and small, will save a lot of money as you grow.”

This year’s top finalists are invited to attend an Academy Award style ceremony in South Hall on the KBISNeXT Stage. Each finalist will be individually recognized and winners will then be announced. The ceremony will be held on the first day of the show, January 19th, from 3:45PM to 4:15PM.
